If Iran does what we think it will do and close the strait of Hormuz I think that we could see coal back to $350 a tonne in the next few months. Why you ask...gas prices will rise as a consequence of the closure which will mean coal will be seen as a cheaper alternative therefore pushing the price higher! Time will tell if this prediction comes true.
If Iran closes the straight of Hormuz will coal go to USD$350 + again!
