This is just the Jesus, come Christian prejudice shinning through.
Whatever is said of Jesus can be said of many, many other Teachers and Messengers from God.
When it says that Jesus was the first Created, this must be seen in light of the condition that Jesus speaks to the Will of God and the Will of God has existed without beginning, so in that sense, Jesus, who expresses the Will of God, is expressing the first Creative attribute of God. As did Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster, Muhammad, Moses, Baha'u'llah and countless unknown indigenous Prophets.
These Prophets, including Jesus differ only in their responses as a means of adapting their teachings to the capacity of their audience. They must speak the cognitive language of their audience or their teachings become nonsensical.
Jesus and all these other Prophets are servants of a single Will, so nobody came first, nor is one Prophet greater than another. Their teachings are all relative truths for a time and a place and the capacity of the audience, but tell that to a Christian or a Muslim.
