I'm trying to understand how a Christian understands how the Word IS God and WITH God at the same time?
LOGOS --> 2 Tim 1:9 - Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before time eternal.
1:1 In the Beginning was the word and the word was with the God AND God was the word. 1:2 The same (this, it) was in the beginning with God. 1:4 In him (God) was life.................His Logos, 2 Tim for example, which it the light to men.
1:1, 2 & 4, is speaking about his inner logos.
1:3 - Creation, is part of his expressed Logos, plans.
John 1:1-2 is Not the Gen's beginning, it is before that. --------------- It is my understanding (could be wrong) a lot of these "the's" should not even be there.
Beginning was word and word was with the God and God was the word. (The same God, first mentioned, Greek lingo needs understanding and not mans creations). The same was in beginning with God.
NO, I am not a Greek expert. ------------- Even taking it as the Greek has it, there is a clear theme, or context that gets lost, hence it's vital to not mess with the Greek or correct order of words.
In the beginning was the word.............word will now be the beginning of the next phase - and the word was with the God..............God will be the beginning of the next phase - and God was the word.
The same (word) was with the God.
All things through Him came into being............. ---------------- 1 & 2, is to show what and who it was and once that was, is established, the logos and God are referenced as One, Him and He.
The Bible is very clear, John was first to recap of what already was, pre the sudden appearance of Jesus - Mal 3:1 etc. Luke 1:15-17 as well and this is done in the first 13 Verses.
The first 18 verses, prelude, from outside of creation to Jesus exalted to a God in 1:18, in the bosom, light of the God and Father. ------------ So WHAT'S you logos Kam --> plans?
Something to ponder, who ever they are; Rev 14:3 - And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
Same old song mate, the original that God lost; Rev 2:17 - He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
The manna being, the word --> the word of God.
So what's this Old original song Kam?
Rev 14:1 It says,..... them that are there have the name of God and Jesus written on their foreheads. That would be in their Minds. So then Kam, this particular group it would seem are considered a special group and one of these specialties appears, having the name of God and Jesus. Does that not raise questions? Don't most have their names in their minds? Then we see Rev 19:12 and it says, no man knows his Name = The word of God. So that raises another serious question, no man knows it?
Jesus is exalted and via Inheritance a name above all names --> The word of God? So what is this inherited FROM, if this is the exalted name.
Keep in mind, OT passage, the likes of, God has put his word above his name.
