Market jitters that Gina Rinehart’s Hancock Prospecting and SQM would be blocked from getting their hands on Azure Minerals for $1.7 billion have been quelled. The Foreign Investment Review Board has given the nod to Chilean giant SQM and Hancock’s joint proposal lobbed in December for an all-cash $3.70-a-share scheme of arrangement, which, if not successful, will trigger an off-market takeover priced at $3.65 each.
