That is my understanding Smark, but Gina/SQM committed to that price just before the lithium price really tanked.
Both would be aware that they paid too much too early in that one.
If someone currently were to bid aggressively up to $1 WC8 in the current environment, they would very quickly get enough stock (15-20%) to comfortably direct the future direction with MinRes.
The current Board may not appreciate how little borrowed time they may have left to put the key information on the table.
once MRE and metallurgy are better known and understood, and if strategic future partnerships identified in offtake/financing, then there may not be such a rush for the door to sell.
