I have rang the DERM office several times over the past year trying to get information out of them. What they will tell you is very limited.

The next thing you will see for CDU -is the final EIS report that will make recommendations. The company will have to implement them in their environmental management plan, All this will need to be done prior to obtaining the mining licence.

Given the Cloncurry copper project ( Exco ) is in the same region and is for the same size plant. I think all CDU holders should take the time to read this document as some implications for Cudeco can clearly be drawn.

I have it on reasonable authority that the request by CDU for the extension was to address some of the issues in the Exco report. Head em off at the pass if you like.
