So I assume the ships viability is based on weight and aerodynamics through the water staying upright and so forth apart from carrying economic loads well.

For OZ, could have a double decker LNG/oil ship that exports LNG and imports oil for no extra transport costs apart from little more distance and costs of the ship.

If LNG tanks are so specific could have a long oil tank not that high on the bottom, above a mix of LNG and oil tanks to spread weight per normal and on top, and extra layer of oil and gas tanks. Idea being from Australia LNG, to Australia oil and the weight/load carry is similar for each load in terms of economics over the two way journey.

From Australia no oil so LNG tanks be value and ensure weight dispersed appropriately so no capsize. On the way back bottom lower smaller but elongated tank full of oil. LNG tanks in middle not filled, but oil ones are and oil tanks on top full as well. So for a similar cost of LNG tank going from Australia and back it picks up oil on the way back.

Gets the LNG largely from northern Australia and can drop the oil off nearby as well before restocking LNG

I was thinking to insert bladders in the LNG storage domes. The bladders I presume aren't too heavy and won't take up much space when folded.

So the ship leaves Australia full of LNG and dumps it at the required destination. After the LNG is dumped, then insert the bladders into the LNG storage domes; ship goes to pick up the oil and fills up the bladders. Ship returns to Australia, dumps the oil and removes the bladders.
