In other words, consume less and be happy ... it isn't hard.
Its a real conundrum ... western economies have consumed unbelieveable resources over the past 150 yrs ... BRIC economies are seeking to improve living conditions for their peoples ... western economies morally can't deny them ... the world is in for a lot of hurt if everyone consumes at unsustainable levels.
Just in energy, Americans (and Australians) consume a minimum 10 x the energy of the Chinese per capita, and the Chinese population is 5 (?) times that of the US ... scary?
