So India typ 500 (pop 1.1 bill), China typ 1100 (pop 1.3 bill), US typ 8000 (pop 0.3 bill), Canada 8000 (pop 0.03 bill) and most other western economies averaging say 4500.

So if just China and India developed to the point where they consumed energy at a rate consistent with all other western economies (4500), the energy demand increase would be equivalent to another 50 Northern Americas ... if they ever consumed energy at a rate equivalent to the United States (8000), the energy demand increase would be equivalent to another 90 Northern Americas.

Would that give OPEC apoplexy or what!
