They spent $US1.2 million on care and maintenance at Casposo in 2019 so hopefully the plant is in good shape.
Casposo was valued at $US 7.8 million in the 2019 accounts after an impairment loss of $US 29.2 million in 2018.
Hopefully the half yearly will give more information on what is planned. The Chairman's address at the AGM in May said they had a clear objective to recommence mining operations at Casposo. He said they had been exploring near by and "assessing opportunities to consolidate projects that surround Casposo and to source ore from third parties in the region. This is a work in progress, and we are pursuing several compelling opportunities."
So it is not clear whether Casposo would restart on a stand alone basis. Given the silver price has risen by 50% since the annual meeting in May it must be looking attractive even without "add ons".
