Good idea, lets get some clarity around this as the info in the public domain appears to be at odds with LYC - IMO.
I'm still perplexed at the dates, unless LYC had a 3 year advance insight into the 2012 VAT announcement in China. Such if life.
Do we have any VAT experts that understand the implications of this tax from an import / export point of view?
Unfortunately my experience in the UK with VAT, Aus with GST and the US with Sales tax is all from a non mining point of view so there may be special rules.
