IMHO the answer isn't that the Canadians have been too stoned to think about it. The junior end has been moving strongly. Many companies in the region wold have known about the asset, yet none acquired it.
The acquisition price looks very low to me. I understand they will share in the upside, but the vendor will end up with around only one ninth of the asset. If this discovery is truly prospective, surely a local company would have known about it and paid more ?
Am I missing something ?
If such a great asset, why hasn't it been snapped up by Canadians ?
