Price per carat isn't everything....there are a range of buyers attending....would you rather $50 million dollars at $100 a carat or $40 million at $150 a carat...just an example...the total revenue is what counts and the more the better!
Cherry picking will just make the result harder to replicate next auction and create disappointment...
