I think this is one possible scenario that bank will not extend the date since the longer it drags on the less the asset will be worth as we are close to recession. The bank will probably loose less if they force Centro to liquidate and sell off its asset now. If the bank wait for one more year, they will loose more as the property price will come down a lot more if we are heading into recession.
