Pixie, My understanding of the process of evolution is that occasionally nature throws up a freak such as a taller person. That person gets to the front of the queue for rumpy pumpy and has more offspring who are more likely to be tall.
Hence it relies on a procession of freaks and preferential breeding. This is very slow.
I know it is the most conventional belief but I struggle to see it as the complete solution to how people evolved.
Consider the very similar outcom amongst isolated tribes across the world evolving in parallel.
PS do you have an explanation for the 2,500 year old machined granite blocks at Puma Punka? It is worth having a look at the close ups of those machined surfaces.
