75' of luxury power slowly moving north on Aust. east coast then cruise Louisiades, ?Solomons, Vanuatu,? Samoa, Society Islands - back home, NZ at some stage. Transport of choice - Hampton Endurance 75.
Why? ------- Can't stand cities/smog/airports/airliners/yanks/Asia (in general).
Like, slow, luxury, clean air, seafood, island food, slow time and the people it effects, ocean, islands, cruising.
Also - almost nothing changes - most of these places haven't a clue whether an ABomb has dropped or a GFC is happening or the planets have shifted by 90 degrees ------- in short, life just goes day to day as it should.
Managed to spend a couple of months in Nth Europe last year - never went to 1 city. Thank god for gps and the ability to turn off Autobarns/highways -- just pick a place and go by the backroads ---------- places that hardly ever see a tourist - and if they do, they are European. Out through Melbourne in the front of the bus and in through Schiphol - very easy (considering it is modern air travel). Flew Cathay first and bus. - never fly Qantas again after that.
If the Hampton doesn't appear soon - will go back to Europe again - same way - this time following the history of the Celts - through the forests mainly. Otherwise - might have to degrade myself and settle for less than a Hampton :)
