If its part of your trading plan, including the levels you will be averaging down at, stop loss placement/level you'll exit no matter what etc etc For sure. Though i do think many other strategies would be less risky and alot more consistently profitable.
Otherwise blindly buying in a severe downtrend is hardly a tactic for long term success.
Obviously just my opinion.
