AP, the 2010 Election was not an ordinary election.
It was post GFC... with many people probably blaming the Government for all the GFC-related ills e.g. deficits, debt, share market doldrums, etc...
There was also the minor issue of Gillard taking over from Rudd mid-term which would have put a few voter's noses out of joint...
It should have been a comfortable victory for the ALP if not for the above factors...
