Earlier in the year I opened a Commsec international securities account and bought US stocks. The stocks on my list are Wells Fargo, Microsoft, Coca Cola, Procter and Gamble, Wal Mart.
I'd prefer to invest in Aust. but 1) IMHO over the long term the AUD can't sustain 80 plus cents 2) The American global companies are on attractive PE ratios compared and 3) As global giants they're much stronger companies than most of our leaders
IMHO buying these bluechips now on current earnings yields will stand you in good steed 10 or 20 years from now
