@Camdenbob, obviously you don't seem to have any clues on how a company is run and what a BOD can do about/with CEO's and MD's.

Jus ask JH what his board did to him, and there was nothing he could do to stop it ether. Nor could any shareholders do anything to stop it either. That is one of the ,many things that only a BOD can decide........not shareholders. Even the salary of that appointee is decided by them in the majority of cases, and again there is nothing we can do to stop it.

Then there is another thing which you seem to fail to grasp, and that is that in most circumstances the CEO and MD is allowed/encouraged to join the BOD so that he could put his plans on the table for approval or otherwise by the rest of the Board. So, as Cottee has been appointed by the Board, only the Board can dismiss him, not you and I, nor any proponents of a spill board motion either.

Just remember that part for future references as you may will need it.

Perhaps good old Haasko could clarify this matter to you, and me, once more.

And don't forget that the BOD knows of many different ways of skinning a cat, and they could make good use of that if and when required when it comes to CEO's and MD's.

You also seem not to have taken notice of what OptionCo told us all, in that if Cottee is to go there will many others within the company which will burn rubber in trying to get in there for their interview.

Once again CB IMO you should try to do a little better research, and a full review of what you wrote, before your post has been posted. It would save a lot of time for others having to clarify and/or correct what you are putting forward especially when in the majority, it is just baseless.
