Didn't hear the program but have to say that it seems a purely hypothetical question indicating a blurring of understanding of the two different styles of government that the US and Australia has. The shenanigans between the Republicans and Democrats[ words which have entirely different connotations in Australia]and the power struggle between Congress and the Presidency are peculiar to the US system of government -or lack thereof-. A[as in 'Australian']BC journalists would do well to hone up on this fact and not ask politically and economically irrelevant questions of our Australian politicians.
