Lets all get serious. This is organized corruption and theft on a massive scale. If our outrage is serious and it appears to be, we the people should bring a class action against all those involved and hold them to account. Anyone who is found to be guilty should be jailed for life as a minimum but really what's the chances of that today. I was around in the days of the Fitzgerald Inquiry in Qld and he found it hard to bury the main players due to their considerable wealth. Freeze all their asset and public entitlements and try them for there actions. It shouldn't take years like Thompson, it should be swift and conclusive. Personally I would like to see them publicly flogged and then jailed for life.
