abobo, I also agree it would have been sensible to divert a few dollars of the maintenance funds to get on with due diligence, however the bondholders objected to this. Their action is indefensible. That is why I have no hestitation in branding their action as sheer bastardry.
As for the speed of international financial transactions, you seem to have no idea of the steps involved and the time it can take. In my own case, on looking it up and not relying on memory, it was actually more than nine weeks, it was closer to twelve - and that was after approval. Three weeks of it was due to DHL losing a signature authorisation en route.
