Why does a volatile price have to be manipulation? Can't it just...

    Why does a volatile price have to be manipulation?
    Can't it just be confused investors who are ready to buy/sell on the first sign of a trend post-result and cause such short term trends to accelerate as fear/greed hits extreme levels around results?

    Reversals may then occur when another camp of investors feels that a great opportunity is being delivered.

    I think what I am describing above is..well..a market.

    I've learnt that trading with a tin-hat on results in substantial performance drag, not to mention it buggers up my internet connection
