I seem to remember a similar discussion at around $9.49 when I pointed out this bearish sentiment was going to continue in the short to medium term. Intelligent Investor called it a buy around then and value investors here said $9.49 was a great entry point. Thank goodness I ignored it and went for a spec play on TMP and am up 60%.
While I agree with the theory of value investing I have seen an incredible series of terrible buy recommendations from pro value investing sites over the last year. Such as fingers lost on falling knives on WOW, TPI, FWD, BYL, STO etc. and friends who lost 15-40% of their investments in less than six months. Seems if you concentrate on the FA and ignore the TA, you tend to suck at entry and exit points
