Well, strange, Lake Bonney is currently off-line as SA is 'islanded' because the interconnect with VIC is broken and the AEMO has taken control of it and Bonney Bess. This is not a thermal event and the report characterising overheated wires as the main or only reason for curtailment is incomplete or misleading.
While Bonney is off-line, it can still charge Bonney Bess and the AEMO is despatching actively from Bess. Lower electricity volumes, likely at premium prices.
