In my opinion, everyone in the electricty market is talking to everyone about capacity, balancing and firming.
IFN has firming capacity well beyond its own needs and could contract this service to a further 600-700Mw of windfarms.
IFN (wind, gas, storage) and Snowy (hydro, gas, storage) have little to offer each other. INF needs smaller WF operators without the capacity to firm their assets and to despatch their output from its control room to usefully add value.
Candidates for IFN's warm embrace are units like Tilt's Snowtown FW 366Mw or RES Ararat WF 240Mw.
Retail shareholders like you are me just have to sit and watch this play out.
