Baldy, I have been in and out of IFN for a decade and the shambolic US renewables market amazed me. IFN needed to exit, though the costs were bitter gall for holders. The B&B dudes who bought those US assets on those bizarre terms at fancy prices should be unemployable, though more likely they educated their children at posh private schools on their labours.

I too like the structure of IFN's generating portfolio. From here, each addition de-risks, 'firms' and adds value to the entire kit. I expect the CV-19 fog to lift enough to allow FCWF FID without delay. It is beautifully located to feed into the hungry NSW market and highly complimentary to Smithfield.

FCWF might even attract assistance from the NSW government, keen for more own-generation and desperate for post-CV-19 economic activity.

IFN will have ranked the demand/supply profiles of its generating assets, know the optimum location for its second battery and is poised to deliver a pleasingly short payback. I am entirely agnostic about where that might be, while keen for early action to displace the plans of other players.

If it is to be FCWF + B, IFN's firming capacity will rise (guessing) from 600-700Mw to approaching 1000Mw, well ahead of contracted PPAs.

IFN has many options. Whichever it chooses will spark the share price. Hold onto your hat.
