This suggests to me the order queue at the battery manufacturers has blown way out as every grid on earth wants to add a battery to stabilise voltage and reduce the waste of electricity. The lessons of the Hornsdale battery have been learned all over - particularly the revenues this kit pulls in.
So, few batteries beyond those already announced can be expected to be added to the E Australian grid in the next few years.
IFN will have to look elsewhere for growth: contracting, building or buying wind farms and open cycle gas plants.
If Flyers Creek can be up-scaled to GE's new 12Mw Haliade-X turbines I would welcome its construction fully owned by IFN.
