friends,
Due to regulations and requirements of the UK authorities Cuadrilla can only start drilling next year. A full EIA (environment impact assessment) takes 12 months, as it has to cover the full seasons. By the way, this has been applicable to constructing cross country pipelines in the UK, so one could have expected it would have come up sooner or later for shale gas drilling, but alas,
Now our neighbor, IGas, has announced it will do two drills this year. WTF?
Either they are misinforming the markets (they are quoted on the LSE!), or I misunderstand the information as published by Cuadrilla.
Perhaps there is another reason for their schedule being able to deliver this short term, defying the obstacles that Cuadrilla seems to have to deal with.
Can anyone please clarify?
