'John and Peter Kepma are brothers from Vienivi village in the Kurumbukari mine site, in Madang Papua New Guinea. Their village sits on arguably, the one of the richest nickel deposits in the Southern hemisphere. The Chinese state owned developer MCC, has demanded that they leave their village but the clansmen say a permanent site has to be made available and they have to be compensated before they let go of their ancestral land. Since the beginning of 2009, they've resisted company and police intimidation. Last year, some of their fellow clan members were forced off their land by police and MCC. Peter, John and their immediate family members maintained their stand. They remained on their village site while the rest of their clan members moved to a temporary relocation site. But in September, 2010, Police and company workers finally tore down their homes and leveled the place with heavy machinery. As police and company officials demolished what was left of their village, members of the clan took pictures and documented in detail, what was said and done. They want this information to go public even after being told "not to go to the media" by a chinese company official.'
