From what i understand, brine in general is lower cost than hard rock, however Greenbushes is the lowest cost mine in the world.
Tianqui are selling because they are in real trouble with their debt from SQM purchase a few years ago.
If IGO get this at a hood price i think it's an outstanding move. especially if they also sell their Tropicana stake at a good price.
