Buyers can be invested in the "Share Price" and sell when the SP looks sour or invest in the "Business" for the longer-term appreciation.
Each to their own, but I personally like the idea of a fund picking up some shares from weak hands (retail traders). Hopefully, they will hold for longer (no guarantee of course). As the "Wash & Rinse" of short-term holders for longer-term holders takes place with every cycle of up and downs in the SP, I hope the register will tighten up, the demand zone will increase with less supply available. (wishful thinking on my part maybe)
The BOD has a liking IMO for anyone with a longer-term outlook.
The BOD has rewarded loyal shareholders with Options and I hope that trend continues into the future.
No fluffy announcements to keep short-termers on board.
Passing on some shares to a "Strategic Investor Group", hopefully, they were qualified as longer-term holders/supporters.
