To be honest. I spoke to leearne in mid may and they had just arrived in the USA for conferences and to meet with Research Dx. I asked her then if it was on track for end of May and she said it was delayed (i got the impression it was for a few weeks) as research dx needed additional (i think she said analyte... but I'm no scientist so that may not make sense to some of u), leearne said this was being organised for them but it takes time... so it was going to miss the end of May deadline.
this last call she just repeated that it was delayed when I asked her, but i didn't ask about time frames ( i should have). Leearne just said that as it's only in 'research' phase it was less of a priority than these other products that are moving much closer to commercialisation ( the ones related to the upcoming announcements). So we just left that one there and i was a bit caught up in the positivity of her mood around impending announcements etc. Hopefully they can/ will provide an update on this one in the next announcements.
the other thing we discussed was the confusing terminology that comes out with the announcements - as i said that it seems like sometimes the terms are not consistently used across announcements and this makes it harder for us to work out how many more stages each product has to go before getting to market..ie analytical and clinical validation, optimisation etc etc. She said she was aware of this concern from share holders and had spoken to the investor relations team about this but they are struggling to find the balance between simplifying the information for shareholders but maintaining an accurate scientific description. I'm not sure this will be resolved any time soon...
