Ummm.....all this doesn't really explain why the long drawn out CR this time.

If there is no announcement expected on BC, I can't see that any news on the gold front (however good) is going to move the SP in the short term. So....no reason to participate.....?

Or are MNM management just going to buy on market during the VWAP period to push up the price you end up paying under the CR? Small pain, BIG gain (for them).

Curiouser and curiouser. My bet is still no worthwile announcement at all, and they're bluffing.
