    For years now there has been one article after another written about how gold is set to skyrocket.

    I'll believe it when I see it.

    As far as I am concerned the paper price is being effectively controlled at this point in time as it has for many years.

    It's so blatantly obvious.

    That is why paper gold usually fails to follow through a good rise and instead gets smashed the following day - just like what we have witnessed today.

    Some follow through from the previous day's US$25 rise to $843. Currently down US$16.
