What are you guys talking about? Gold has more than tripled since 2001. Rises typically surge for 6 months then we have a correction for 12-18 months. This correction since March 2008 is particularly volatile because the forces crashing into each other are much more powerful at the moment...
Indian demand and jewelry demand slump by 100's of tonnes, retail investors buying 100's of tonnes to compensate, central banks suddenly curtailing their sales programs, global production falling, hedge fund selling of 100's of tonnes of speculative long positions, producer de-hedging coming to an end meaning more gold hitting the spot markets... It's enough to drive an investor insane, but I'm staying focused and won't be shaken out.
