Planes do not need to stop at intersections and red lights, change lanes, change speed though multiple different speed zones in the space of a few km, overtake slow drivers, swerve to miss other vehicles, or suddenly brake to miss stupid pedestrians.
that is why planes can autopilot !
This is an excuse to force us all to conform to stupid 40kph speed limits.
