    A couple of times I have ended up in a stock that is very illiquid.

    When you want to sell, there is no volume to sell into.

    If the overall market falls, any buys are removed and there is no volume to sell into.

    If there is any decent volume to sell into, it is at 10-20% below the last sale price.

    It is worse than having your funds in a term deposit. At least with a term deposit you get your money back and some interest.

    Forget about any sort of trading strategy such as stoplosses.

    The only time you win is if the company stumbles onto some good grades.

    The strategy may work for a decent profit making company where you follow strong FA, but in a weak falling market, I cannot see it working.
