Whitefield announced it would commence an on-market share buyback.
The stated reason for this by the chairman David Illife, was because of the weakness of the sharemarket ! Hello !! If the sharemarket is down and you have spare cash, you would be better off investing it by buying quality shares cheap.
You would only want to be buying back Whitefield shares if Whitefield shares are cheap.
