Iluka Resources has announced it will suspend operations at its Hamilton plant in October, when it processes the last heavy mineral concentrate from its Victorian Murray Basin mining operation.
The company said it intended to resume operations in Hamilton when its next mining development was approved in Balranald, NSW, but that was not expected to occur before 2019.
