It's a fair and reasonable question. I didn't think I could afford a house at that age either . Plenty of other posters have posted the same sentiment.

Rameez gave a great example of how he walked his young bloke through the process over 20 years ago. Obviously his young bloke didn't think he could do it either until the old man stepped in and showed him how.

So, get off your high horse about when a kid asks a question.

She wasn't asking about buying a house outside of Melbourne so you're lovely little deflection about regional areas is pointless.

Then you switch to the socialist slur.

You've gone from a teenager asking a reasonable question to banging on about socialism for the whole country.

You're clearly not here for an actual conversation on the topic. You're just here for a shock jock rant.

Nothing shock jock about it.

It was a reflection on what our ABC - another tangent - broadcast this morning on the concern of an 18yo.

I am merely repeating what I heard and stating it is an absurdity to make that an election issue because no 18yo can afford a house at that age and therefore it is a *** issue but nonetheless the ABC was trying to make a political point out of it. So if you have any misgivings about the post take it up wit the ABC.

So to be clear the statement wasn't about "I can't see how I can afford a house in the future", it was "I can't afford a house now".

I asked you to at reply with some intellectual integrity which you failed to do. It is also quite obvious that you can only think in mono-thoughts as you seem to think that this issue resides in a vacuum and doesn't have wider implications.
