    Population density is the problem.

The bigger you make cities, the less efficient the land use is.

Look at the big cities around the world. They are much more compact and dense than ours.

The more you spread out, the more expensive services become. Transport becomes a major problem.

We are extremely lucky in Australia in that many have been able to achieve the Australian dream since WW2. We've never had it so good.

A nice place on a bit of land somewhere. It's fantastic.

But, it's starting to get out of whack.

Low income earners can't afford to live anywhere near the places they work. It's ridiculous.

We need to start redesigning our cities with density in mind. Better, clever design using ideas from overseas that have been tried and tested.

People have a right to be housed. They don't have a right to a certain lifestyle that impacts others.
