There is an element of good fortune in being unable to buy a house now. I don't think I've ever seen a worse time to buy. Stratospheric prices underpinned by historically low interest rates, with the historically low interest rates coming to an end. So you'd be buying an asset declining in value with rapidly rising costs of servicing the repayment. If you're looking to get into the housing market especially in Sydney....come back in 5 years.
