Telstra's dominance in the regional telecommunications markets will be noted by the ACCC, which is currently considering whether to declare domestic mobile networks, which would force Telstra to sell mobile access to all its competitors. Telstra has a larger mobile footprint than its competitors and uses this as a marketing advantage in cities and the bush. A declaration would be a significant blow to Telstra's mobile business.
