Hi there,
I'm a 22 year old student and I've kinda gotten into the stock market recently because well, I study economics and engineering, and have a fairly good idea when it comes to investing in things that I know a lot about.
Was wanting some opinions on what the best way would be to invest having a small capital and being a but younger than your average investor. I suppose I've done some highly risky investments but in things that I'm confident with.
So far, I've invested in:
PEK
CCL
NEA
ARI
JHC
QFX
All in tiny, relatively equivalent amounts. Biggest loss has been for Peak Resources (PEK) even though I have a lot of faith in this company. Biggest gain is for Nearmaps, I think they have the ability to explode internationally!
Is there any place that you can go to in Melbourne to learn more about investing in shares? And what should be my next step with investing? Should I go through an advice stock broker or keep doing my own thing. Should I invest in more risky companies, or relatively safe ones?
Thanks for reading,
Dan McLean
