First of all disable windows messenger. Thats about the biggest exploit out there.
Make sure Zapro is updated its got a button somewhere check for updates.
If you want to know if anyone has a connection to your machine, go to the dos prompt and type "netstat -an"
dont forget the space or it wont work.
This will display a list of all your connections and show their status.
Ive recently started using Mozzilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer.
The experts tell me its safer and one thing is for sure the hackers will always cut code for the most commonly used apps.
Look out too if you have an early version of Excel check for updates with Microsoft.
I have two machines. One of them is not connected to any network and is bolted to my desk which is to big to fit through the door!
I keep all my important stuff on that.
My internet machine, I tend to look at as a disposable item. Nothing is safe but the ID lock function in zapro is pretty good for peace of mind that nothing important is leaving your computer.
Good luck Madmacs its a jungle out there.
