Ban it? Are you kidding me? Fracking may be the USA's only chance to keep up with the big boys. Analysts are saying USA could be the world leader in exporting oil by 2030. What is really going to affect us is where the USA decides to focus its exports. If USA decides to capture the Asian market it is going to have a negative effect on "future Aussie oil exports" :). However, if they focus on the European market and leave the Asian region to us we will benefit. In any case; the jury is out on fracking. The infrastructure is in place and it's the cleaner of the fossil fuels. Environmental impact from extraction, well, we shall see.
