Mate only know the cattle game, which depends heavily on the carrying capacity, cultivation and soil profile, irrigation and water allocation that comes with it. We look at 5 acres per beast, but that's sustainable with rotational grazing and well improved with fencing and water, and in that country you would be looking around $500 per acre. The returns are good keeping it simple, buy weaner steers, add 300kg on average, sell into the feedlots for the premium grain fed beef market. Personally, prefer the taste of pure grass fed any day, but the foodies like the marbling in our cattle and the grains bring that out.
Will leave the cattle raised in sheds to the experts on here that think hand raising $10,000 per head Jap cattle is the solution to world hunger. Still laughing at that one.
