I suspect Optus might have been hit by lower numbers as a wholesalers, they might have a surge when new HFC areas are added.
Vocus long term goal has been to get to a 10% market share, they are trending close to that, but might not quite get there by the time NBN is finished rolling out. 10% is a pretty good foothold, and the dual brand strategy (dodo=budget, iprimus=value) helps reduce risk from shifts in the market. It seems like its going to plan.
Not sure what the plan could be then to grow beyond that, i think there might be room for one of the big telcos to develop a premium brand (premium service, technical excellence), like iiNet used to be, and Aussie Broadband might arguable be, but it would be a very hard place to get to.
